2024 Clipper Canoes Voyyageur II Kevlar

The Voyageur II is a great way to get a group on the water. Similar to the original Voyageur, it is modelled after the original Voyageur Centennial Canoe.

The Voyageur II is significantly different from our original design. It is more maneuverable with features such as increased rocker and a more shallow arch hull. It is also much more stable.

The Voyageur II easily holds 10 paddlers, and also is available with the optional removable center seats. Its versatility makes it ideal for kid’s camps, first time paddlers, and tour groups.

As with all of our Big Canoes, the Voyageur II was designed to be virtually maintenance free: there is no wood to be sand and varnished or oiled, and the inner gunnels are black anodized aluminum with a custom vinyl outer gunnel for longevity and durability. All of our Big Canoes have positive flotation, with a foam core in the hull, bow and stern float tanks as well as a block of 4.5” thick foam under each seat.

Large canoes are often referred to as WAR Canoes, particularly in articles written in the late 1900’s. Today we refer to them as ‘Big Canoes

• Aluminum thwarts for maintenance-free durability
• Seats standard with styrofoam 4.5″ x 10″ to provide maximum flotation
• Center two seats can be made as removable for cargo storage – option at time of order
• Fiberglass seat rail for extra strength
• End chambers filled with styrofoam for additional buoyancy/added safety.
• Hull reinforced with 1/2″ marine structural foam
• Keel line reinforced with Kevlar and s-glass (this model has no ‘keel’)
• Gunnel is a high strength anodized aluminum with vinyl gunnel cover.
