Our corrosion protection system includes a durable, multi-layered paint process, helping your Honda to continue to look and perform like new. Sacrificial anodes and stainless steel technology, along with waterproof connectors, all enhance corrosion protection.

Additional Corrison Resistance

Repositioned anodes and enhanced bolt coating boost corrosion resistance further. Improvements to fasteners and gaskets increase undercowling corrosion resistence as well.

Fresh Water Flushport

A fresh water flushport flushes debris and saltwater out of the engine.

Like an updated vapor seperator fastener for easier dissassembly during maintenance. New oil pump & cylinder head gasket shapes that provide better water drainage to help prevent corrosion. An optimized combustion chamber shape that maximizes efficient combustion and helps ensure consistent engine performance. And the thickness of the starter motor mount and the rigidity of its seal have been strengthened to ensure consistent starting performance.

The Engine Alert System monitors vital engine functions and prevents engine damage by alerting the operator of: overheating, water in fuel, low oil PSI, battery, over-rev, and critical engine function.

Honda's exclusive Intelligent Shift and Throttle (iST) command and control system delivers superb control plus plug-and-play installation of Honda Marine products and third-party controls and devices.

New Updated iST Controls

The iST controls offered with our new BF115, 140, and 150 models are our most ergonomic, functional, and tactile designs yet. Features like an intuitive 5-button multi-function panel and single-lever neutral lock with highly visible neutral indicator are the very definition of intuitive, user-friendly controls. All drive-by-wire models are updated to include the same iST-controlled automatic tilt, trim support, and cruise control features found on our flagship BF350 V8.

Multi Engine Applications

iST offers multi-engine applications, with fine tuning of throttle settings at any speed, enhanced docking and slow speed control, and a simple, easy to understand user interface. Available on select BF115, 140, and 150 models.

Easy Maneuvering

For multi engine applications, integration with joystick steering systems such as Dometic and UFlex makes maneuvering so much easier. From precise docking and trailering to anchoring systems that maintain the boat position, this feature brings maneuverability to a whole new level.

Superior battery charging for more usable power

The charging system offers an impressive 55 total amps with 40 amps of charging power for plenty of accessories.

Faster, easier maintenance

The BF115, 140, and 150 are designed to reduce maintenance time for routine tasks like oil and filter changes. A new oil filter position and oil bypass work together to prevent messy drips and leaks while they speed and simplify oil changes. And our new extended valve adjustment intervals mean more time between maintenance visits.

Fisherman Friendly Variable Speed Trolling

A variable speed trolling switch makes fishing easy and convenient. Simply push the toggle switch to adjust the trolling speed in 50 RPM increments from 650 RPM to 1000 RPM.

On-board connectivity

NMEA 2000 protocols allow engine data to be interfaced with on-board systems and systems displays, such as GPS.
